Get It While It's Hot

Friday I went to Paradiso (Our own church turned nightclub) once again!
Masta Ace did his thing in the big room! .
But I was looking for that new cat in a small room upstairs
The night came.. Aloe blacc and Peanut Butter Wolf where there!
It's always great to see an artist on his first tour in amsterdam..
I still remember that first show by D'angelo, Alicia, Musiq or Bilal.
There's just a great vibe around those people.. still fresh!
Anyway I let you here sum' of his album Shining Through..
Most of it is selfproduced. but also some nice beats by OhNo and Madlib!
First up wil be "Long Time Coming" cover of S. Cooke "Change Gonna Come"
A crazy harp and a Detroit backslap beat make this perfect..!
Aloe Blacc - Long Time Coming

After that hear sum latin influence that is hearable on ever track around
Aloe Blacc - Bailar scene 1
Aloe Blacc - Nascimento scene 2
Aloe Blacc - Patra mia

We still got the best tracks comming tho'
First wil be the titel track called "
Shine Through" a beautifull acapella!
Then one that shows Blacc was exually a MC .. He used to be in a
group named Emanon
together with Dj Exile..
After that the Madlib produced
One Inna!
The latest track is a cover from John Legend's "Ordinary People"
Unlike John who act like he came up with this song himself
Blacc did a little tribute in the middle for to my man stevie!.
a great latin feeling al around.. !
Aloe Blacc - Shine through
Aloe Blacc - Caged birdsong
Aloe Blacc - One inna
Aloe Blacc - Bonus Track #1
